PROJECT OVERVIEW
For the CRUZ V3 Performance Rain Shield, I adapted our existing performance rain-shield construction to the updated CRUZ geometry, re-patterning it to achieve a clean, secure fit. Because the leg rest and backrest move independently on this model, the biggest design challenge was ensuring full coverage across every seating position. I experimented with attachment placement and introduced elastic shaping around the footrest to keep the lower section covered even as the stroller adjusts.
The final design offers reliable protection in unpredictable weather, with quick frame attachment, a zippered access panel, reflective accents for visibility, vented airflow, and compatibility with folding the stroller. It maintains the functionality of our performance line while being uniquely tailored to the CRUZ V3’s motion and proportions.
